Brainstorming Your Personal Statement
For many students, coming up with a topic is the most challenging part of the personal statement writing process. Fortunately, there are brainstorming activities designed to help students think more deeply about who they are and all they have to offer a university.
In this hour-long boot camp-style workshop students will:
- Complete two brainstorming activities
- Learn organizational patterns for structuring their essays
- Discover what separates a great essay from a good one
- Leave with additional brainstorming activities
I keep the number of participants small—never more than six—so that I can personalize the session to the students. We meet online.
Workshops start in June and will run through the summer. Cost: $49.00
Register and pay online by selecting from the sessions offered on the adjacent calendar.
*Summer is the ideal time for juniors to start their college applications, especially for those applying Early Action and Early Decision. Deadline pressures aren’t yet upon them, and essay topics have time to evolve.
